What happens when a fly falls into a coffee cup?
The Italian-throws the cup and walks away in a fit of rage.
The Frenchman-takes out the fly, and drinks the coffee.
The Chinese - eats the fly and throws away the coffee.
The Russian - Drinks the coffee with the fly, since it was extra with no charge.
The Israeli - sells the coffee to the Frenchman, the fly to the Chinese, buys himself a new cup of coffee and uses the extra money to invent a device that prevents flies from falling into coffee.
The Palestinian - blames the Israeli for the fly falling in his coffee, protests the act of aggression to the UN, takes a loan from the European Union to buy a new cup of coffee, uses the money to purchase explosives and then blows up the coffee house where the Italian, the Frenchman, the Chinese, and the Russian are all trying to explain to the Israeli that he should give away his cup of coffee to the Palestinian.

Clearly, you are experiencing the caffeine withdrawal common to pre-fast Jews. Thank you for this virtual coffee break. It will have to hold me until that big, steaming cup of Turkish coffee -- with the espresso chaser -- that I will indulge in on Friday morning, bs"d. Tzom kal!
What would we do if he didn't have the Israeli intelligence on the "Arab Mind". Daft, dumb and blind kids.
Interesting though how much space the average Israeli-joke-mind needs to portray the Palestinian's mind vs "a" Russian's or "a" French's.
I thought we could all use a little humor to bring in the New Year....thanks again to Bec!

I like it! And you might find that amusing -- but I got this by email a long time ago...
Only, it was the Palestinian selling the coffee (etc etc);
and it was the Israeli blaming the Palestinian, getting a loan (and, in this version, buying American weapons to bomb the Palestinian's house).
Isn't political humour awesome? :)

Political humor is the proof that all people share the same human characteristics....I can't tell you how many "Irish" jokes I originally heard as "Polish" jokes, and in turn had Polish folks tell me that in Poland those are called "Russian" jokes, etc.
The holidays have been fun, albeit a bit exhausting. Glad to see you're back! I'm enjoying your blog--let me know when you're coming down this way, okay?
